
Though originally drawn to the unusual light of the east and landscape, Amy’s subject matter is extremely varied, including figurative works and interior scapes. She enjoys capturing the spirit of life on the East End—beyond the traditional landscape as we know it—and is known for her unusual compositions and unique sense of place.
Amy received a BFA from Syracuse University in 1981, where she studied painting with Jerome Witkin, then continued her studies at the Art Students League of New York with a variety of instructors, including the late Kaye Hazelip.
