New Mixed Media Paintings by

Eugenio Cuttica

Eugenio Cuttica is a contemporary artist born in Buenos Aires in the mid 50’s. He has exhibited in galleries, museums, cultural centers, and international art fairs. He came to America in 1995 and to the Hamptons 6 years ago so his two sons could study at The Ross School.

His work presents images of beauty. They flow not from an organized intellectual construct but as something that just happens. He becomes a vehicle of artistic and creative energy that passes through him unsolicited and unplanned. This is not to say he doesn’t have the seedling idea or initiating sketch. Once he triggers the process, his creative journey goes into automatic pilot. His energy turns into a metaphysical expression existing on a higher plain, invisible and intangible. It begins channeling through him. The work becomes spontaneous and flows without thinking. The process takes on a different dimension than what one feels going through an ordinary day. His reality changes while he’s working. It’s a great mystery whose energy flows through him and into the brushstrokes creating paintings where veils of color both hide and reveal images perceptible and imperceptible.

His new works, created specifically for the Kramoris exhibition, are details of the delicate and fine figures found in his wall size works.
